Gradall 4100 Series
Why Take This Course
While operating similar in many ways to an excavator, the Gradall course is specific to this highly mobile version often used for ditching/ditch maintenance. Built on a truck chassis, this well-known vehicle can be driven from the rear operator's compartment, allowing the operator to maneuver along a roadside while performing the ditch work. This configuration allows for on-road driving, which brings with it some unique considerations.
Regardless of the job assigned to this equipment, it is vital that all operators receive both practical and theoretical instruction on the machine; training is proven to increase operator production while minimizing downtime due to excessive mechanical wear, even with experienced operators.
